The venerable magazine wanted to create a distinct digital series utilizing the untapped interview archives behind their long-running “What I’ve Learned” profiles. We developed a series concept to mesh with the Esquire aesthetic that incorporated the style of their veteran illustrator, Joe McKendry.
After mining dozens of extended interviews from the archives of the magazine’s contributors, we created 10, two-minute episodes featuring icons ranging from Sting to Johnny Depp.
The series debuted on Medium and was sponsored by Microsoft. We created a custom ad for the company that ran within each episode.
